Traditional cooked salami ready to be reheated, made with meat of pigs born, bred and slaughtered in Italy, Emilia Romagna and Lombardy regions, minced and kneaded within three days of slaughter, not frozen. Zampone, which in Italian means ‘large paw’ is the pork leg, filled with salami dough, enriched with fresh garlic macerated in Gutturnio red wine, sea salt, aromatic plants extracts and whole spices. The flavour is dense, strong, very aromatic. The Zampone, cooked and sliced, is traditionally matched with lentils, but also with beans, mashed potatoes or butter, spinaches and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. The Zampone Peveri was named by Gambero Rosso among the 10 best Italian Zampone. The product is sold inside its hermetic pack and box.
