The history of our cured meat factory is closely linked to the place where the Peveri family settled at the end of the nineteenth century, devoting their lives to farming: the splendid scenery of Chiaravalle di Alseno, near the Chiaravalle della Colomba Abbey.

The business, now managed by the brothers Federica and Remo, was established by grandfather Remo who gained experience in the meat sector and its processing in Milan as an apprentice in an old delicatessen. Here, he built the foundations to set up his own enterprise in 1920, a delicatessen in Stradella del Pavese.

After the war, Remo returned to Chiaravalle and worked as a traveling butcher, from 1930 to 1940, deepening his knowledge of the various types of meat and their organoleptic characteristics, which he then transferred to his son Carlo, who opened his own delicatessen shop in 1952, in the Palazzo della Commenda, in Chiaravalle della Colomba and continuing to develop the production activity.

In 2009, the Salumificio Peveri Carlo was inaugurated and moved to its current, prestigious, and functional headquarters. By now, it had become a high-quality company, able to manage production effectively and competently, both inside the shop and in the environments dedicated to other activities: such as the unique micro-climatic cellars, suitable for achieving an optimal aging process and the showroom: the splendid and evocative Bottega Peveri, where you can show to customers the exquisite delicacy of cold cuts and sausages.

That of the Salumificio, therefore, is a historical path well illuminated by professionalism, artisan passion, and love for tradition. These values are always with us and allow us to obtain great results. They are confirmed not only by prestigious recognition received over time but also by the care we put in packaging and delivering. Being perfectly at ease in the space between tradition and modernity, today the company also evades orders through its E-shop, expanding its advertising frontiers to an increasingly larger market.

 

The Bottega Peveri welcomes its guests to view and discover the great creativity of the craftsmanship, the masterful family art of “making salami”.
